VOICE OF ENGLISH
One of the most beautiful experiences of learning a language is speaking; it's during the learning process that words become real, personalities are revealed, and confidence gradually starts to grow. When I worked with my students during my teacher training and developed speaking exercises that let them go beyond textbooks and engage with English in an enjoyable, meaningful way, I was actually experienced this.
Setting up role-playing exercises in the classroom is one of my favourite memories. My students cheerfully put on attractive masks of animals and insects, turning them into lively characters instantly. Some students were first nervous and afraid to utilize new vocabulary, but as they adopted their roles, their anxiety gradually decreased. They exchanged interested eye contact, gave each other encouragement, and started talking- sometimes hesitantly, sometimes strongly, but always fearlessly.
As I watched them perform, I came to understand that speaking exercises involve more than just language. They encourage confidence, creativity, and teamwork. Students gain the ability to freely listen, react, and express themselves. English becomes more than just a subject in these situations; it serves as a link between confidence, creativity, and communication.
Concerns about children's lack of involvement in English are common among parents and instructors in rural schools. However, these kinds of experiences demonstrate that students, regardless of where they learn, can shine brilliantly with creativity and support.
Speaking English is more than just creating understandable phrases; it's an effective method of communicating with others, exchanging ideas, and gaining self-confidence. In addition to developing their linguistic abilities, students who are encouraged to speak also develop their personalities, build up their strength, and get ready for a better future. English turns become a voice of independence, opportunity, and expression. Every student has the opportunity to shine- not only in the classroom, but also in real life- when we promote this ability with empathy, understanding, and creativity.
