READ SMART - UNDERSTAND BETTER

Image
Reading is more than just looking at words. It's about feeling, comprehending, and gaining knowledge from them. Many students read pages quickly because they believe that reading quickly leads to reading well. However, true reading accomplishment occurs when your mind comprehends, retains, and makes connection between ideas. You have to develop your reading skills in order to do it.  Read with a purpose  Before you begin, always ask yourself, "Why am I reading this?". Perhaps it's to discover knowledge, to have fun, or to study. Your brain continues to focus, and your comprehension strengthens when you have a specific aim.  Prepare before you read A thoughtful reader does not enter immediately into the text. Examine the first few sentences as well as the title, subtopics, and images. Your brain receives a road map from this preview, making it easier for you to comprehend the content.  Be an Active Reader  Don't read like a robot in silence. Make short not...

HOW TO START THINKING IN ENGLISH

Image
Simple steps to train your mind  The true secret to fluency is to think in English. Speaking becomes effortless, self-assured, and natural when your brain starts using English on its own. Here are some useful and imaginative strategies to help you think more in English.  1. Surround your Mind with English Daily  Every day, surround your mind in English with listen to podcasts, read basic English content, switch the language on your phone to English, and follow English Youtubers. Regular interaction makes it easier for your brain to identify English.  2. Talk to yourself in English  Describe in mind, what you're doing. "I'm getting ready", "I have to study hard", "I'm going to school". At first, it might seem strange, but it teaches your brain to think in English.  3. WRITING WONDERS

Image
English language learners can gain confidence, creativity, and understanding via writing. Students who write much more than just put words on paper, also learn how to arrange their ideas, communicate their feelings, and develop a close relationship with the language. Nervous learners gain confidence through writing, timid speakers acquire fluency, and everyday classroom events become significant learning opportunities.            I have seen how basic classroom exercises may develop strong writers during my training period. Students were given the chance to think critically, imagine freely, and enjoy the learning process during the time they spent describing pictures, creating relevant questions, or putting several ideas into comprehensible words. Their first attempts were occasionally slow and unsure, but overtime, their work started to express confidence and personality. All mistakes were turned into an experience...

VOICE OF ENGLISH

Image
One of the most beautiful experiences of learning a language is speaking; it's during the learning process that words become real, personalities are revealed, and confidence gradually starts to grow. When I worked with my students during my teacher training and developed speaking exercises that let them go beyond textbooks and engage with English in an enjoyable, meaningful way, I was actually experienced this.            Setting up role-playing exercises in the classroom is one of my favourite memories. My students cheerfully put on attractive masks of animals and insects, turning them into lively characters instantly. Some students were first nervous and afraid to utilize new vocabulary, but as they adopted their roles, their anxiety gradually decreased. They exchanged interested eye contact, gave each other encouragement, and started talking- sometimes hesitantly, sometimes strongly, but alway...

VOCABULARY BOOST

Image
The basis of learning a language is vocabulary, which really shines when it is taught through enjoyable exercises. Children learn new words in many learning environments, practically at young ages, through tactile, visual, and cognitive experiences rather than just textbooks. These exercises keep learning moments that show how language can develop naturally and purposefully.  Real-life Connection           As an example, children are doing more than just memorizing words related to the farm, when they build farm versions and identify items like farmer, cow, grass, tree, well, etc. They are making the connection between words and reality. Attaching labels, exposing mud or soil, and watching plants grow are all helpful in students' thorough understanding of concepts. Instead of being abstract, vocabulary comes to life. In addition to encouraging curiosity and teamwork, these activities enable youngsters to comfortably u...

GRAMMAR POWER

Image
In the past, I have seen grammar like a set of strict rules, marked in red ink, just ready to be dismissed. I recall sitting in class and looking at sentences, wondering why tenses never stayed where I put them and verbs were unable to fulfil the conditions. Grammar seemed like a barrier back then, something to pass rather than something to use. When I realized grammar wasn't the enemy, all those feelings changed.          While reading a short novel one day, I became aware of how a single tense may affect a sentence's emotional impact.  "She waits", This phrase made me feel at relaxed and "She waited", this one was hard to say.          Both of the phrases have similar words, similar structure but there are separate meanings. Without the reader's knowledge, grammar was quietly affecting the story's progression.          I started to notice grammar everywhere after that, including in songs, disc...
